“Expected to leave” – 29-year-old could be gone if Chelsea sign Joao Felix – Romano

Sunday night saw a crazy turn of events unfold in the transfer window for Chelsea, and you had to have your wits about you to keep up with it all.

Some mad things are going on between Chelsea and Atletico Madrid right now and a turn of events has seen Chelsea’s deal for Samu Omorodion collapse at the final minute, and Conor Gallagher’s move to Atletico stall, for now at least. The latter is still expected to happen, but Chelsea still want to and probably need to sign an Atletico player in return still as part of a non-official swap deal.

Sources: Victor Osimhen WANTS Chelsea move!!

With Omorodion off the menu now seemingly, Chelsea have turned to former player Joao Felix who they had on loan under Thomas Tuchel not long back. They also had a chance to re-sign him last season as well but it looks like Mauricio Pochettino said no to that at the time.

Sterling expected to leave

29-year-old winger Raheem Sterling is expected to leave should Chelsea sign Felix, that is according to Fabrizio Romano on his latest Playback show.

Romano says: “I think Noni Madueke can leave if they receive a good proposal. Raheem Sterling would be expected to leave if Felix signs.”

This would be a crazy end to the transfer window for Chelsea and seemingly they would need Sterling’s wages off the books to allow for Felix to come in.

In makes you wonder now what today is going to bring in terms of Chelsea transfer drama!
