Well, here we are reaching Wednesday lunchtime and going into the final two and a half days of this summer’s transfer window, and Chelsea fans are on the edge of their seats.
We have witnessed some pretty big deals at Chelsea in recent times and to be honest, in recent history under Roman Abramovich too.

Things have not calmed down under the new ownership either as they’ve arrived in at the club and looked to rebuild the squad entirely.
The players have basically changed from top to bottom and the new Chelsea are a young Chelsea with plenty of quality. And now they are trying to add what many believe will be the icing on the cake – Victor Osimhen.
This is a story that many Chelsea fans are heavily invested in and are waiting on every little update that comes out, and Fabrizio Romano’s lunchtime update on Osimhen today can certainly be described as little! But even still, it’s good to know!

As you can see above, Romano has posted on his X account just recently and has assured us that Chelsea’s talks to sign Osimhen are ongoing.
Romano simply says:
“Chelsea and Osimhen talks, ongoing.”
It looks like Chelsea could be looking to get the wages and terms agreed with Osimhen before then perhaps going in with an official offer to Napoli. Let’s see what the next hours bring.
This is one that may well end up going right down to deadline day itself on Friday!
