“Haven’t got a goalkeeper or a centre forward” – Sky Pundit predicts Chelsea league position

One Sky Sports pundit has taken some more digs at Chelsea this week as he predicts their Premier League end position come the end of this season.

It’s the time of the year where pundits are starting to predict where Chelsea will finish, and last night on Monday Night Football on Sky Sports, both Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville did just that.

Carragher and Neville have both been hugely critical of the Chelsea owners in recent times and how they have been operating, especially in the transfer market and putting players on long contracts. That criticism, at least for Carragher, did not stop last night and if anything has only increased this season.

Carragher predicts Chelsea league position

As you can see cited above, Carragher has predicted a 7th place finish for Chelsea this season, whilst Neville has predicted 4th.

But he’s not happy with Chelsea’s operations and recruitment. He says:

“This (Chelsea) is not a young and exciting team. I don’t know why any player would look at Chelsea and sign for them, the only reason could be is their agent is saying we’re getting a 7 year deal on big money, that’s guaranteed money for 7 years.

“You’re asking where Joao Felix is going to play. Do you know what I want to ask you? Where is he getting changed at the training ground? I’m serious.

“They haven’t got a goalkeeper or a centre forward!

“Chelsea need to stop buying players and players need to stop joining them.”
