Hot hours in the market: Chelsea rekindle striker pursuit with green light given

One transfer news reporter has this week said that we are approaching ‘hot hours’ in the transfer market, and Chelsea are very much involved in that heat.

It’s been a very hot few days in London too, quite literally with the weather, and Stamford Bridge has been one of the hottest places in terms of transfer business going on.

Sources: The four striker names Chelsea are ‘watching’ this month – Chelsea are looking to bring one striker in before end of window

Chelsea are expected to be busy now in these final few weeks of the window, and a striker is high on the priority list to get done before the window is up.

Victor Osimhen is the name who continues to be mentioned as the main one that Chelsea want to bring in this month, but it has always seemed really tough to do. It still does seem tough to do.

Chelsea decision makers green light the move

Osimhen to Chelsea still on

Sky Italy’s Gianluca Di Marzio is reporting ‘hot hours’ in the transfer market for Napoli now, with Osimhen and Romelu Lukaku on the agenda.

He says their sporting director Manna is in London to negotiate with Chelsea for Lukaku, and there will also be a new meeting on Thursday for Osimhen to Chelsea.

He goes on to claim Chelsea have ‘rekindled’ their interest in Osimhen and technical staff at the club have given the ‘ok’ for the move.

But as said, it still looks very tough.

Di Marzio concludes Osimhen would be open to a transfer to Chelsea but not on loan as had been speculated by some English media a few weeks ago, but outright, and therefore there would be negotiations on the salary, much higher than the salary ceilings that Chelsea currently has in the squad.
