Chelsea captain Reece James has taken to social media to provide an update on his condition after it was recently reported he had suffered another hamstring injury.

James was plagued by injuries last season and missed almost five months with a hamstring injury he underwent surgery on, which limited him to just 11 appearances in all competitions.

The 24-year-old played a big part in pre-season and got plenty of minutes under his belt as he built up his fitness and match sharpness ahead of the new campaign.

However, it was reported that the England international had suffered a fresh hamstring injury in training which had reportedly been described as minor, but he missed last weekend’s draw against Inter Milan.

James is suspended for the first three games of the Premier League and should be fit Chelsea’s game against Bournemouth on September 14th, meaning he will likely miss both legs of the Europa Conference League play-off against Servette.

However, in good news James shared an update to social media on Friday showing he was back out on the grass, which is a really positive sign and the Blues will be desperate for him to stay fit this season.
