Joao Felix getting closer to Chelsea move that will impact senior first team player

Atletico Madrid forward Joao Felix is now getting closer to joining Chelsea this week according to the latest report out this morning.

Felix to Chelsea looks on, and although it’s not being reported officially as a swap deal for Conor Gallagher, it’s become obvious that this move needs to happen for Gallagher to be able to join Atletico, for many reasons.

Caught Offside are reporting that  Felix is getting closer to joining Chelsea, and that will have a big impact on one of the more senior players in the squad, Raheem Sterling.

The winger was left out of the squad against Manchester City yesterday for the opening game of the season, sparking rumours about a potential exit from Stamford Bridge in the remaining weeks of this summer’s transfer window.

It even forced his agents to release a statement asking for clarification on his future.

Felix in, Sterling out?

The report goes on to state that Chelsea are likely to look to offload Raheem Sterling after he was left out of yesterday’s matchday squad for the Manchester City game, with his exit closely linked to the imminent arrival of Joao Felix.

So the two could be linked together, and you’d imagine that at least one attacker will have to leave to allow for Felix’s potential arrival, with Chelsea already being fully packed in that area of the pitch.

They’ve also just signed Pedro Neto from Wolves, and could also bring in Victor Osimhen up top if they can manage to get that deal done.
