Journalist: Chelsea set for second enquiry to sign Manchester City player this window

Chelsea are set to make a second enquiry to sign a Manchester City player this summer transfer window, according to one report from a journalist this morning.

Chelsea are seemingly looking to try and sign one or two more attackers before the end of the transfer window at the end of this month, and they are continuing to be linked with a number of different names.

EXCLUSIVE! Antonio Conte wants ANOTHER Chelsea player as well as Romelu Lukaku – could be key for Victor Osimhen to Chelsea! 👀

One name that has been spoken about but seems to be behind closed doors more than anything, is Manchester City winger Oscar Bobb, who ironically just scored against Chelsea in a pre-season friendly on Saturday night in which The Blues lost 4-2.

Chelsea already enquired for Bobb

Bobb is a huge prospect

As per our own writer Simon Phillips writing on his own Substack website today, Chelsea have already made an enquiry for Bobb a couple of weeks ago and are now preparing to try against with a second enquiry for the 21-year-old.

Phillips wrote: ‘Bobb is well-known at Chelsea though, and it is one of the directors who was watching on that night, Joe Shields, who has put him forward as a winger target for Chelsea this summer, as reported weeks back on this site.

‘Chelsea reached out to both City and Bobb’s camp recently with an enquiry for Bobb but they have yet to return back to that enquiry. None of the answers were a direct no, but Chelsea felt it would be a tough deal to do from the responses and ideally, Bobb wants to stay at City and make it there.

‘This doesn’t mean it’s impossible though, and SPTC sources have heard that Chelsea are going to try again for Bobb in the latter part of this window and try and tempt him with a move to Chelsea with first team promises just as they did with Cole Palmer last summer.’

  1. Yes, unbelievable prospect. City wont entertain it, and given our poor recent form, neither will the player if he has any sense.
