Serie A giants consider surprise move for unwanted Chelsea ace

Juventus are considering a move to sign Armando Broja as a backup striker to Dusan Vlahovic according to reports in Italy.

Broja, who is currently with the Chelsea squad on their pre-season tour of America is one of a number of players the Blues are open to selling this summer.

The Albanian has attracted interest from the likes of Wolves and Everton, whilst AC Milan have also shown interest in the striker.

Juventus consider Broja move

The 22-year-old failed to make an impact under Mauricio Pochettino last season and the Blues were open to selling him in January.

There were no takers for the Albania international at the club’s ambitious £50m asking price so Broja joined Fulham on loan with the Blues hoping regular football would boost his value ahead of the summer.

The loan was a disaster and Broja played just 80 minutes of football across the second half of the campaign and progress on his Stamford Bridge exit has seemingly slowed.

However, Italian outlet Gazetta Dello Sport have reported Juventus are considering a move for Broja as they seek a backup for first choice striker Vlahovic.

The report adds the Blues would like to sell Broja permanently but a lack of serious offers means they could be more flexible the later it gets into the window.

Broja is under contract until 2028 having signed a new six year deal in 2022 but it’s almost certain his time at Chelsea is up and you would expect a decision on his future to be taken soon.

The striker scored just two goals in 21 appearances in all competitions for both Chelsea and Fulham last season whilst he also had a disappointing Euro 2024 campaign.

Broja isn’t the only striker Chelsea are looking to offload with the club also trying to move on David Datro Fofana and Romelu Lukaku, which isn’t proving easy.

The Blues are currently in talks with Napoli over a move for the Belgian, who has agreed a three year contract with the club, but he can’t join until Victor Osimhen leaves and a possible swap deal has been touted.
