Maresca answers whether Chelsea will sign any more players and how much power he has

Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca has been answering questions about transfers at the club and how much of a say he actually gets in incomings and outgoings at the club.

A lot was said about Mauricio Pochettino during his time at the club and that he wanted a say but was not often listened to, which may or may not have been one of the reasons that he and the club mutually parted ways at the end of last season.

EXCLUSIVE! Chelsea will make SECOND Oscar Bobb approach, closing on Grabriel Mec!!

In came former Leicester City boss Enzo Maresca, and the same questions about the power of say in transfer moves are coming up again.

Maresca has also been speaking about whether Chelsea will be making any more new signings before the transfer window closes in around three weeks time, in his latest pre-match press conference over night ahead of their game against Real Madrid on Wednesday evening, which will be their last pre-season friendly in the United States.

Maresca does get a say

Interestingly, the Blues boss says that he gets a say in all transfer dealings at the club. He also says that if there is an opportunity, then Chelsea will be doing more business this season to bring more new players in.

Maresca said: “The Chelsea squad is already very good but if we have a chance to do it we will do it.”

Maresca on his role in transfers: “I don’t think there is any manager in the world not involved in decisions. How can I accept a player that doesn’t fit into the idea I want to play?”
