Moises Caicedo gives a really good reason why he expects to have a great season

Moises Caicedo ended up answering a few questions in Spanish at the presser ahead of the game against Real Madrid tonight, and he brought up a topic we hadn’t thought much about yet.

Caicedo has only just joined up with Enzo Maresca’s squad following his post Copa America holidays. He’s had just a couple of training sessions and some minutes in our game against Man City. But according to him, he’s got an advantage over most of his teammates in terms of adaptation.

This is because the style of play that Maresca is introducing is similar to the style Roberto De Zerbi used at Brighton when Caicedo really shone there. He claimed that might mean he was on course for a really special season, despite playing catch up in terms of preseason preparation.

Let’s hope he starts to show it tonight.
