Cole Palmer is one of six nominees for the PFA Young Player of the Year award following his outstanding season for Chelsea.

Palmer took the Premier League by storm following his deadline day from Manchester City and scored 22 goals and provided 11 assists, which saw him named Premier League Young Player of the Year.

The 22-year-old set a number of records last season and deservedly picked up a host of individual awards in recognition of his fine form.

Palmer took his form onto the international stage with England at Euro 2024 and made a big impact in the knockout rounds, including scoring the equaliser in the final against Spain.

The former City man made his first appearance of pre-season in Sunday’s 1-1 draw against Inter Milan at Stamford Bridge and his introduction handed the Blues an immediate boost.

Palmer is up against Michael Olise, Alejandro Garnacho, Kobbie Mainoo, Joao Pedro and Bukayo Saka, with this award made special by the fact it’s voted for by their fellow pros

The winner is set to be announced on August 20th and if Palmer were to get his hands on the award it would cap off an incredible year for him as he prepares to start his second season with Chelsea.
