Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has posted a very interested Chelsea transfer update and it sounds like we are about to get another done deal fairly soon.
These have been coming in thick and fast this summer with a number of deals being worked on and done at the club, who have been busy in the market, but perhaps not necessarily always for the first team or for players to come in and effect things now.

This deal though, would effect the first team, and it has caused a lot of drama and debates amongst Chelsea fans and others in and around football.
We are of course talking about the Conor Gallagher situation, a situation that has been going in for over a year now. It has seem clear that Gallagher will leave Chelsea this window and to be honest it has seemed that way for a long time now.

Romano now says that all parties are confident of getting a deal done for Gallagher to join Atletico Madrid this window, as you can see from his post on X above.

“Chelsea and Atlético are working to get his green light, all parties confident but there are still some details to clarify.
“Chelsea would get €40m fee and they hope to get it done soon.”
So we should finally be seeing the end of this saga and can all move on to the next one!
