Telegraph: Premier League club set for late attempt to sign Chelsea defender

As we head into the final two and a half days of the summer transfer window at the time of writing, you look at the business Chelsea are rumoured to be wanting to get done and you wonder if they will have enough time.

The transfer window closes on Friday, and Chelsea seemingly have many players they want to sell and loan out, and also maybe even sign one of two more new players themselves before the window slams shut. There’s a lot to do if they really want to get this all done. But the feeling is that there is just too much to do now and so little time to do it.

Sources: Ivan Toney, Victor Osimhen, Jadon Sancho, Raheem Sterling, Trevoh Chalobah & more: Three days left!

This might mean that they will just have to prioritise moves that they see as the most important, and perhaps any other deals might just have to wait until January or even next summer. We will just have to wait and see what they decide to do.

Trevoh Chalobah’s sale might be seen as a priority because he would represent a pure profit sale for PSR. And also, he is currently just training and playing U21s football at Chelsea so surely he has to go.

Crystal Palace readying late move

According to The Telegraph, Crystal Palace are set to make a late attempt to land Trevoh Chalobah and rescue him from exile at Chelsea.

Chalobah is a target for the final days of the window, with the 25-year-old training away from the first-team squad at Stamford Bridge.
