(Video): £50m man shows what he can do at last with great assist

Chelsea’s second goal last night was a true consolation, but it highlighted the quality of Romeo Lavia, who has been one of our best performers in preseason. He won the ball with a tackle, was on hand to pick up the rebound, then played a beautiful pass over the top to Noni Madueke, who finished it.

Lavia has done everything he possibly could in his minutes so far to show his quality, and it’s hard to imagine us not starting our Premier League campaign without him now.

The problem then becomes, who do you drop? Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo are too expensive to leave out, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall is Maresca’s signing, and Lavia is playing too well to ignore.

It’s a tough one.
