We’ve been enjoying Enzo Maresca’s press conferences. Perhaps it’s because rest of the week is full of so much rumour and whisper that it’s nice to get some actual concrete words from someone who matters.
Today, as you’d expect, the presser was more about transfers than tonight’s game against Servette. There were questions about whether the players already on the books (like Nicolas Jackson) were worried about last minute transfers coming in to take their places (like Victor Osimhen or Ivan Toney, both linked heavily).
Maresca said he had had a meeting with Jackson – but just to praise what the striker had been doing in training and in games so far.
