Enzo Maresca has jus taken his first press conference as Chelsea boss, and he struck a cautiously optimistic note.
While emphasising he’d only been in charge for a month, he claimed that his team are “ahead of where I expected,” in the circumstances.
We’re delighted to hear it of course – but we fear it’s going to come back to haunt him by Sunday evening.
If we’re ahead of schedule and lose 4-0… what would we have been expecting to start with? He’d be better off emphasising there’s a long way to go, just in case things end up going horribly wrong.
