(Video): Sky pundits point out why Chelsea’s training chaos isn’t as bad as it sounds

Chelsea still have a vast number of players on their books and training with the first team at the moment, and on Sky Sports they went through the madness of having almost 50 players in various groups at Cobham.

They make some interesting points however – James Savundra notes that there won’t actually be many problems registering players because so many of them are under 21, meaning they can play without registration.

Sam Obaseki adds that despite what sounds like chaos and confusion at the training ground, Enzo Maresca will know which players he’s actually counting on for his team and which are just assets being traded, keeping his focus on a narrower selection.

We’re not sure either of those things do anything to stop the real problem though, which is discontent at the training ground from those being ignored or shunted around.

  1. SuperFrank, you can continue to try and stir this pot and every time you double down on it you just sound more and more like a guy with an axe to grind. These pundits pretty much prove the point—this is a non issue. Yet you seem so intent on finding fault with the manager or the club hierarchy (or both) that you post daily about these invented controversies. Enough!

Most clubs would give their eye teeth to have the abundance of young talent that we have stockpiled at Cobham but with you it’s always a problem. Well, I’d file this under “good problems to have,” lol! If the manager is finding it challenging to sort out his squad because he’s spoiled for choice, why on Earth are we bemoaning the fact??? Get a grip and stop being so incessantly negative.
