(Video): The improvement from Tuchel and Pochettino that was “blindingly obvious” in Chelsea’s big win

Crag Burley doesn’t hand out praise to Chelsea too easily, so it’s always interesting to hear him after we win big.

Today on ESPN’s panel show he was focused on the big difference between how we played yesterday in the 6-2 over Wolves and how we had played pretty regularly in recent years.

He said that what was “blindingly obvious” about our play was the “speed”, a huge step up from what we had seen under Thomas Tuchel and even Mauricio Pochettino in recent years.

“The speed with which Chelsea moved the ball… they did it brilliantly,” he concluded. That compared so favourably to the “slow” and “pedestrian” play we’ve all got so used to in recent times. The flip side is that speedy play left us open at the back – but that can be sorted soon enough with more work in training.
