Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca has been reacting to his side’s pre-season defeat to Real Madrid over night last night as the USA tour concludes.
It’s not been great in terms of results for Maresca’s Chelsea having only won one game, drawn one, and last three in this pre-season campaign, but it’s all new for him and the players as he tries to implement his system.

The weaknesses have been clear for all to see, and they are at the back, with mistakes and vulnerabilities all over the place.
Real Madrid won 2-1 last night, and Maresca has been reacting.
Defensive problems
As you can see from the video above, Maresca said:
“I think offensively we played a good game but defensively we had some problems that we need to solve and adjust.
“Once again today we created 6, 7 clear chances. I think the problem is more in the moment, defensively where need to improve things, the defensive line in general.”
