Renato Veiga was the man chosen to step up and speak to the cameras ahead of Chelsea’s game against Servette in the Conference League, not only because he’s going to play in the game but also because he was playing in Switzerland very recently.
He spoke very well, although it was all rather bland. We did like what he had to say about a potential rivalry with Marc Cucurella, who signed for Chelsea for £62m a couple of years ago, and plays in the same position.
“What a guy, what a player,” Veiga concluded, after praising the Spaniard’s level.
It sounds like they’re getting on great, and can push each other on to new heights.
