Marc Cucurella and Cole Palmer were the last two first team players to return to full Chelsea training, doing a few days alone at Cobham this week to get them up to speed.
They both had to do the same tests that the rest of the squad had done when they started preseason, including one that measures their jumping power.
Cucurella was delighted to score higher than Palmer with his effort in that exercise – he celebrated by doing noted high-jumper Cristiano Ronaldo’s “SIIII” celebration.
He was playing like Ronaldo at the Euros… let’s hope he carries that form into the season.
