Transfer expert has dropped a bit of a teasing Chelsea transfer update suggesting that one big deal is going to go down to the last week of the transfer window later this month.
Romano has been talking Chelsea in his latest set of updates, and he has specifically been talking about Chelsea’s pursuit to bring in another new striker or two during this summer’s transfer window.

Chelsea seem to be getting closer to sign Samu Omorodion from Atletico Madrid, but there is another striker that Chelsea fans would much rather see arrive, Victor Osimhen!
However, Osimhen would be a much more expensive deal to do overall and looks unlikely, although there has been some talk of Chelsea trying to sign BOTH strikers this window.
Personally I think that seems unrealistic, but Romano is keeping the dream alive with his latest teasing updates on Osimhen.
Osimhen will not take pay-cut
As seen above, Romano says that anyone thinking Osimhen will take a pay-cut to join Chelsea should forget about that. However, he does say that he believes this one will go down to the final week of the window, which would suggest that Chelsea might be holding out to put the pressure on Napoli to do the deal as they want to sell the striker and replace him with Chelsea’s current striker, Romelu Lukaku.
It’s all a bit messy and will need to be sorted out very soon. Leaving it until the end of the window could be a risky strategy for both sides.
