“Working for an exit next week” – Reason Chelsea player was left out of latest squad

Chelsea played their latest pre-season match last night over in the USA after the end of a gruelling run of games in a short space of time.

The Blues lost three, drawn one, and won one in five games in fifteen days during a time that is supposed to be slowly building up some match fitness and easing back in after a summer off. But it wasn’t like that for Chelsea who have been playing every four days (roughly) during the last few weeks.

EXCLUSIVE! Chelsea will make SECOND Oscar Bobb approach, closing on Grabriel Mec!!

They looked tired in the 2-1 defeat against Real Madrid, and I am sure they will be pleased to be heading back to the UK now, even though they have yet another match on Sunday!

One player wasn’t even named in the squad last night, which fuelled further speculation about his future. To be honest though, I was even surprised that Armando Broja went to America because it’s been clear for some time that he will be getting sold this window.

As you can see from journalist Ben Jacobs latest updates above, all parties are now working on an exit for Broja next week after he was left out of the squad for Real Madrid last night.

Broja has featured in most of the other games during the pre-season tour, but to me he was only there to cover the injured Nicolas Jackson, and the club have never been planning to keep him.

He represents a pure profit sale being an academy player, so expect him to go soon.
