Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali watching Chelsea

Chelsea Fallout: Todd Boehly wants new signings who for the here and now and not just for future

More news coming trickling in from various outlets and sources on the Chelsea ownership fallout, and it is not pretty reading at all right now and is only going to get worse.

It seems there are many different fall outs between Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital and many disagreements on how Chelsea is being ran.

Join up to my personal Chelsea FC website reporting sourced inside info, transfer news, opinions, and covering everything going on at the club on a daily basis as well as a Podcast!

In a nutshell, it looks like Boehly feels Eghbali is too involved in the footballing decisions, and wants to see things being ran differently at the club. And it also seems that the disagreements have now gone too far to reconcile and one party will have to sell their shares in the club and hand it over to sole ownership of the other party.

Recruitment disagreements

Boehly and Eghbali disagreements too far to come back from

According to London World, recruitment is an issue between the parties. Sources speaking to LondonWorld on condition of anonymity have said that Boehly intended to focus not only on players who could be good for the future, but also on those who could immediately adapt to a top club where winning is the ultimate goal.

Well that says a lot, and this will rightfully have many Chelsea fans on Boehly’s side because this is what many of us have been saying and asking for. Nobody is against buying youth talents and young players, but the need to balance it up with more established players is what has been missing in this squad build and it’s been clear for so many to see.

Let’s hope it all gets resolved soon.

  1. Why sell homegrown players especially academy players like Connor Gallagher and Trevor Chalobah? Why buy players that’ll take time to develop? Why always change coaches ? How do you expect the coach to win the league? If this issue is not addressed, Chelsea will never win any silverware.
