One Chelsea player has been told to go home and get some sleep after a busy schedule saw him probably get a little fatigued and generally tired recently.

The player is not actually at Chelsea yet though, but he will officially join the club next summer.

EXCL: Inside story of Chelsea player being dead set on joining Crystal Palace in the summer but Chelsea moved the goalposts…

We are of course speaking about highly rated Brazilian winger, Estevao Willian, who has seemingly become very busy playing for club and country in recent weeks and months, and it’s all become a bit too much for him.

Palmeiras boss Abel Ferreira spoke earlier in the week before Estêvão’s latest injury, and it sounds like the warning signs were there that the youngster might soon get an injury.

Abel said:

“When he arrived [national team assignment], he didn’t sleep at all and wanted to train. But we told him no, to go home, sleep, recover. Since we have time, we can take care of the players and play games with this intensity.”

Young players just want to play

Go to sleep lad!

Estevao will naturally just be hungry to keep playing and playing, like all young players are. But he will need to be a little bit careful with his muscles as he is developing and growing physically, and it will be important for him not to do too much too soon.

Chelsea have a fantastic player on their hands here there is no doubt about that, but it’s important he arrives at the club next summer in the best possible condition, and it sounds like he needs to get much more sleep too!
