The season may have only just started but Cole Palmer has picked off exactly where he left off after his record breaking 2023/2024 campaign.

The task facing Palmer was always going to be whether he could replicate or even better his form from last season now that opposition will be far more aware of what he can do, but whether they can stop the England international is another thing altogether.

The 22-year-old took the Premier League by storm last season and if the start of this campaign is anything to go by, he’s showing no signs of slowing down.

In the opening three games Palmer already has five goal contributions, four assists and a brilliant lobbed goal in the 6-2 win against Wolves.

In fact at this early stage of the season Palmer is just one of three players in Europe’s top five leagues to record four assists, and he’s in very good company.

It feels the sky is the limit for Palmer and he’s started this season off better than last season and everyone associated with Chelsea hope this form continues.
