Footballer claims surprise Chelsea man “can win the Ballon d’Or” and has “no upper limit”

A big claim has been made from a footballer about on current Chelsea player, and it will come as a bit of a surprise on the player he is speaking about.

Chelsea have signed so many players in the last few seasons under the new ownership, with some being more successful than others, at least so far.

Many Blues fans have seemingly lost patience with Mykhailo Mudryk, who Chelsea have been raving about through press releases ever since they over spent on him.

Mudryk has age on his side of course and could still prove some people wrong, but he has not been anywhere near good enough as a Chelsea player so far.

But his Ukraine team mate Georgiy Sudakov, says Mudryk can win the Ballon d’Or and has no upper limit to his potential.

Mudryk for Ballon d’Or?

Mudryk needs to step up for Chelsea first

Sudakov is firmly backing his team mate who he has played alongside 55 times now for club and country.

In words cited by Give Me Sport, Sudakov said:

“Mykhailo is an incredible player, he has no upper limit, and he can win the Ballon d’Or with his qualities, but everything depends only on him. I believe he will be able to show his best qualities. Ukraine is an incredibly talented country, and he is a great example for us to follow.”

Some big claims there, but you’d fully expect a fellow international player to be backing his team mate. Let’s see if it ever happens for Mudryk at Chelsea let along on the world stage.

  1. Certainly his raw athleticism creates a potentially sky high ceiling for Mudryk, but he’s shown very little aptitude for learning to “think” the game as fast as he’s capable of playing it. And without the footballing IQ to accompany his prodigious talents he’s, frankly, a very, very average player.
