Former Chelsea man says current player should have signed for Arsenal and not The Blues

Scott Minto on Sky Sports.

One former Chelsea player says that a current Blues man should have signed for Arsenal and not Chelsea, and has detailed his reasons for this belief.

Chelsea have had some successful signings in recent times, but also some who have been just the opposite to that.

But former Blues full back Scott Minto believes there is a bit of a deeper reason as to why some of these players have not yet made an impact at Chelsea, and it’s not about the player themselves.

Minto claims that Mykhailo Mudryk should have joined Arsenal because he would be doing much better if he went there rather than Chelsea.

And he marks that down to a lack of stability at Chelsea and the consistent manager changes that they have gone through under the new ownership so far.

Mudryk should have joined Arsenal

Mudryk has not performed for Chelsea yet

Mudryk has failed to really show what he can do at Chelsea yet, but its that really down to a lack of stability?

In words cited by The Boot Room this week, Minto said:

“The best thing to do is to create stability, and that’s something which they have not been able to have because the manager keeps on going and the new manager coming in is not given best in class.

“You talk about Mykhailo Mudryk, who Arsenal wanted. I am not sure he is (a great footballer). He certainly is not showing it at the moment.

“I think he would be a lot better in an Arsenal shirt than he would in a Chelsea shirt. That is an indictment of Chelsea.”
