Chelsea continued their fine start to the season with victory against Brighton on Saturday afternoon and one journalist highlighted a selfless act from Axel Disasi.

The Blues made it three Premier League wins in a row as they beat the Seagulls 4-2 to make it four wins from their first six games.

Cole Palmer stole the show as he became the first player in Premier League history to score four goals before half time, with his brilliant free kick the pick of them.

Disasi proves to be a great team-mate

Much has been made of the unity and togetherness within the Chelsea squad right now and everyone genuinely appears to get on really well with one another.

Maresca has made it an official guideline that all players must attend home games even if they aren’t selected in the squad in order to build that squad unity and it certainly seems to be working.

Once again that squad togetherness was on show against Brighton and it’s unlikely many people would have noticed or been aware of what Disasi did in the first half.

In the opening minutes Malo Gusto had an issue with his boot and journalist Rahman Osman reported that instead of waiting for a member of coaching staff to go and get a new pair, Disasi went straight away to grab a pair for him team-mate.

It might be a small gesture but it goes to show the unity within the squad right now, with Osman adding that Disasi is one of the most popular members of the squad and he got a handshake from a member of the coaching staff for what he did.

Everything seems to be going well for Maresca and Chelsea at the moment and the team are flying, but the real tests will come after the international break with big games against Liverpool, Newcastle, Manchester United and Arsenal.
