After a couple of crazy years, we were expecting Chelsea’s transfer windows to calm down – but this summer ended on a pretty wild note.
The Blues concluded a hectic few months with a pretty jaw dropping swoop for Jadon Sancho, who came in as Raheem Sterling departed. The club managed to squeeze in an interview with the new signing after his arrival, and it was interesting to hear how clear he was about what had attracted him to Chelsea.
“The manager,” he said, without hesitation.
“I knew him from when I was at Man City… he spoke to me about what he’s building here. For a young player like myself, it’s exciting.”
It’s interesting to hear a player so convinced already. Enzo Maresca seems a really promising coach, but most fans and pundits are reserving their judgement a little.
