“You could put him anywhere he will shine” – Madueke shares honest opinion on Chelsea star

Noni Madueke cups his ear to the haters.

Noni Madueke has described Cole Palmer as a “pure footballer” and believes the game just comes to him naturally.

Palmer has been nothing short of a revelation since his arrival from Manchester City on deadline day last summer.

The 22-year-old lit up the Premier League and his debut season at Stamford Bridge saw him named Premier League Young Player of the Year after scoring 22 goals and providing 11 assists.

Palmer a pure footballer

Despite all the attacking quality in the Chelsea squad, which has been further boosted by the arrival of Pedro Neto, Jadon Sancho and Joao Felix it still feels like the Blues are looking to Palmer to make things happen.

Palmer has picked up where he left off last season and already has four assists and a goal from Chelsea’s first three Premier League games.

The England international appears to make everything look so easy on the pitch and Madueke has labelled the former City man a “pure footballer.”

Madueke and Palmer have struck up a great connection on the pitch.

“The best way to describe him is he’s just a pure footballer,” he told Sky Sports.

“Whereas the rest of us probably have to work super hard, train hard, make sure our recovery is on point and our nutrition is on point.

“I just feel like, CP could just go on the pitch and just do his thing, and I don’t think he really worries about all those other stuff too much.

“You know, of course, he’s professional and he does his work, but I feel like he’s just a pure, natural football player.

“You could put him anywhere he will shine.”

Madueke and Palmer appear to have a great connection on the pitch, and the pair have played regularly for the England under-21 side.

This was highlighted in the 6-2 win against Wolves with Palmer assisting all three of Madueke’s goals and right now the due are arguably two of the first names on Maresca’s team sheet.
