It was interesting to get the takes of the Match of the Day pundits on Chelsea’s performance against Crystal Palace in the 1-1 draw yesterday.
Frank Lampard pointed out that the plan against these low block teams will be to try and get 6 players spread across the attacking line, as you can see in the example above. It didn’t work out yesterday as we didn’t put our chances away, but in moments including the goal we did score, you could see what the potential of that setup is.
Ultimately all the pundits concluded that Chelsea’s attacking play was showing promise, and would get closer to the finished article with more time in training.
