The first month of the season is over, and while it wasn’t perfect, there was a lot to like for Chelsea. The Goal of the Month competition is a nice reminder of our progress so far.
You’re unlikely to have forgotten too many of these goals as they were al pretty recent, but there are some nice ones to think about. From Noni Madueke announcing that his was going to be his season with a thrashed near post finish against Servette, to Joao Felix’s insouciant second debut instep finish, the new season has had a nice variety so far.
Any doubt about Cole Palmer’s second season syndrome were quickly dispelled in his second Premier League game of the season as he clipped a brilliant half volley lob.
“It’s in… of course it is! Because he’s a genius!” raved the commentator.
