Chelsea are in a strong position up front at the moment.
Christopher Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson are taking turns to lead the line in different competitions, and both are finding the net regularly.
We’re only a handful of games into the season, but they’ve both done so well that Sky Sports decided to runa stats comparison of the two of them.
Enzo Maresca seems to prefer the intensity of Jackson in league games – but Nkunku is pushing hard for more game time and we don’t think it will be long before he gets it.
You can see the comparison in the clip embedded here:

The statistical comparison isn’t an entirely apt one considering Nkunku’s goals have come against weaker competition. That’s not a knock on his class, just noting that the gape between the two players isn’t what the stats show. Indeed, there’s very little daylight between the two in terms of overall quality and one has to imagine that Maresca appreciates that they each bring slightly different qualities to the lineup and selection will be based off of which qualities are needed against any given opponent and which one of them is in the best form.
