Sky Sports were pretty positive about Chelsea’s transfer window overall this summer in their review of the action.
Pundit Laurence McKenna accused people who were being negative about their activity of wilfully misunderstanding the Blues’ strategy for “headlines and clicks.”
But even he had to give the Blue a C grade, because, as we’ve said countless times, for all their work they ended up not strengthening significantly in goal or up front – the two priority areas.
