Chelsea are not open to any offers for Christopher Nkunku despite speculation about a possible swoop from French giants Paris Saint Germain according to reports.

Nkunku’s time at Stamford Bridge has been plagued by injury following his arrival from RB Leipzig in the summer of 2023 for £52m.

The France international missed the majority of last season through injury and was limited to just 14 appearances in all competitions under Mauricio Pochettino.

Nkunku is back at full fitness now and despite being one of Chelsea’s best performers in pre-season he’s found himself playing second fiddle to Nicolas Jackson and has started just one Premier League game this season.

The 26-year-old is Chelsea’s top scorer with seven goals in all competitions, but six of those have come in the Carabao Cup and the Conference League, with just one coming in the Premier League.

His form has earned him a recall to the France set-up and he scored in their recent win against Israel in the Nations League.

Over the international break in an interview with French outlet Telefoot Nkunku stated there had been no approaches from PSG, the club where he started his career.

Football Insider have now reported that Chelsea aren’t open to any offers for Nkunku, but the forward has long term admirers in the French capital.

The report adds that clubs are monitoring his situation at Stamford Bridge but Enzo Maresca views him as a key part of his plans.

Nkunku will obviously want to play more regularly than he is and former Blue William Gallas believes he’s putting Nicolas Jackson’s position in the team under threat.

The Frenchman’s time at Chelsea so far certainly hasn’t gone as expected, with many believing he would be one of the main men at the club but injuries have halted his progress.

There’s still plenty of time on Nkunku’s side and he’s a top quality player who has everything it takes to succeed at Stamford Bridge, but if the Blues were to sign a striker it would be interesting to see what would happen to him.
