We have a big Chelsea and Barcelona exclusive this Tuesday lunchtime coming fresh out of our own writer Simon Phillips’ latest Substack updates.
Things have gone very quiet on the transfer front as it always does between the summer transfer window and the winter window that opens in January. But as we get that little bit closer to the winter window opening again after Christmas, we are going to start hearing and seeing more bits and pieces going around.
Chelsea are always going to be in the rumour mix with transfers, even though the expectation is that they will not be quite as busy as the previous windows we have seen from them in the last couple of years.
And according to Phillips, Barcelona are now interested in three Chelsea players.

Writing on his own personal website today, Phillips says:
‘We can now reveal the two names mentioned are Carney Chukwuemeka and Romeo Lavia. We also believe there is some Barcelona interest in Enzo Fernandez, with that info coming from other SPTC sources.
‘But for this report, the two names mentioned by our source is Lavia and Chukwuemeka, with Barcelona showing an interest in both players.
‘There has also been agent contact, which we believe will be for Chukwuemeka as he is the player who is available in January.
‘As for Lavia, we checked in with other club sources and they have said there is ‘absolutely ZERO chance’ Chelsea would even entertain an enquiry for the 20-year-old right now and he is a huge part of the future of the club and someone who the club and Enzo Maresca see as vital for their plans and project going forward. Quite simply, they would tell Barcelona ‘not for sale at any price’ if an enquiry would come in. This will come as no surprise to anyone, thankfully.’
