“I was highly critical” – Former Blues man now won over by current Chelsea player

Chelsea huddle together in pre-match preparations

One former Chelsea player has changed his previous critical opinion on one current Chelsea player after being won over by his recent performances.

There is a lot of Chelsea critics now changing their opinions on certain things around the club and certain players, with Chelsea now being on a good run of form at the start of this season. We are only 6 games in of course and it is early days, but there are some positive signs around Chelsea right now.

It’s incredible to see the quick opinion changes from some pundits and former players, whilst others had been pretty balanced throughout really.

Former Chelsea winger Shaun Wright-Phillips has had many opinions on Chelsea over the last couple of seasons, and he even admits that he has been highly critical on striker Nicolas Jackson.

Jackson doing very well now

Jackson has certainly been turning up this season

Wright-Phillips admits that Jackson is now doing well and he has changed his opinion on him.

In words picked up by SPTC, Wright-Phillips says:

“I was highly critical of Nicolas Jackson last year. He definitely has had one-on-one work with the manager. He is stepping up to the plate, whether it be assists or scoring. He is in the right place and taking chances.”

I think many people can relate to this opinion really, because Jackson has won over quite a few of his critics recently. It’s completely fine to change an opinion by the way, and I always say the best way for players to face up to critics is to turn your haters into your fans! Let your feet do the talking.
