(Video) Chelsea ace sends Maresca a reminder with impressive performance on the international stage

Mykahilo Mudryk continued his recent upturn in form for Ukraine in their Nations League win against Georgia on Friday evening.

The 23-year-old has found life difficult at Chelsea as he’s struggled for consistency and has often been a huge source of frustration for fans.

Mudryk showed signs of improvement under Mauricio Pochettino last season with seven goals and two assists in 41 appearances in all competitions, but has been criticised by Enzo Maresca in the media at the start of this season.

However, Mudryk appears to have taken that criticism on board and certainly over the last few games he’s shown signs of improvement against Barrow, Gent and in his cameo against Forest.

The winger has taken his recent improved form onto the international stage and scored the only goal of the game in the 1-0 win against Georgia, his first since May and now has two assists and a goal in his last three starts for club and country.

Mudryk appears to be playing with a new found confidence and he took his goal really well as he picked the ball up, cut inside, went past a couple of defenders and fired a shot past future Liverpool goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili as his near post.

The former Shakhtar Donetsk man appears to very much be a confidence player and that goal and his all round performance will certainly help and could give Maresca food for thought ahead of Chelsea’s game against Liverpool on October.
