As we wind down to the end of another international break, it really has been a pretty good one for a few Chelsea players who have bagged goals and put in some good performances.

There was a goal for Mykhailo Mudryk for Ukraine last week which will give him a boost for his return to the Chelsea fold this week.

EXCLUSIVE! Chelsea had big chance to sign rising England star but had reservations, and so did he!

Christopher Nkunku also bagged a nice little goal for France on his return to the senior team this international break.

It’s been a real success for some Blues players during this international period. And now last night, another one has got on the score-sheet.

Cesare Casadei has had to remain a bit part player at Chelsea so far since he joined the club, and he also had a loan out with Leicester last season but did end up coming back to Chelsea midway through it.

This season he has been a fringe player again and has to accept low amounts of minutes in domestic cup games and also in the Conference League.

Casadei shows what he can do

Casadei bags for Italy U21s

The Italian midfielder has knocked on Enzo Maresca’s door again this international break, coming up with a tidy little goal for Italy U21s.

As you can see in the footage of the goal here, Casadei showed some very neat footwork in a tight space in the box to be able to get the ball out of his feet and provide a nice little strike into the corner of the net.

Casadei scored the only goal for Italy in their 1-1 draw with Republic of Ireland U21s.

This will give the midfielder confidence coming back to Chelsea training this week and he will be hoping for more minutes going forward. The only issue is that in midfield for Chelsea, he has intense competition ahead of him.
