(Video): Clever signing scores first Chelsea goal after superb Mudryk cross

Renato Veiga has scored his first goal for Chelsea!

With a quarter of an hour on the clock, the full back found space opening up for him at the far post as the whole Genk team got sucked over to their left hand side. He’s already looking like a very smart bargain signing.

Mykhailo Mudryk spotted the Portuguese advancing, and played a great cross to pick him out at the far post.

Veiga stole in and stooped to head the ball home. A pretty easy goal for what’s looking like a pretty easy game, even for our B team. They’re really looking hungry and motivated rather than dispirited, which is just what you want from a B team.

They’re all keen to add more goals, so it could be a fun night.
