Enzo Maresca spoke to Chelsea TV after tonight’s heavy win, and the Blues manager picked out Renato Veiga for special praise after a good performance.
“He was playing like an attacking midfielder” Maresca said of his defender, who got the opening goal and played a number of dangerous filtering passes after stepping into midfield.
This was a poor side we were playing, and Veiga was happy to take advantage. As Maresca says, he’s adapted really well to the club, and is happy in a number of roles. We’re really interested to see how he develops.
