Former top striker speaks on Chelsea player who is “a little bit more composed this year”

A top former striker who used to be very good at what he did, has spoken on one current Chelsea player who is ‘a little bit more composed this year’.

When it comes to hearing opinions on a Chelsea striker, then where else best to get them from a striker who was a the very top level playing as a striker himself during his career?

EXCLUSIVE! Chelsea pick main candidate for new full back transfer pursuit!

And also, he is just a very good pundit now with great opinions.

I am talking about former Scotland international Ally McCoist, who had a very successful career himself scoring goals aplenty.

McCoist, speaking on talkSPORT in words cited by TBR Football, said he has been noticing an improvement in Blues striker Nicolas Jackson, who he believes seems more composed in front of goal this year.

Jackson has been much improved this season in front of goal and seems to be taking the chances that he probably would have missed last season.

The former striker thinks 23-year-old Jackson can keep improving.

“I still think there is a vast improvement in (him), but I am noticing an improvement in Nicolas Jackson, particular his quality of finishing,” said McCoist (5/11/2024, 9:06am).

“He seems to be a little bit more composed this year. I still think that will continue.”

McCoist added (9:10am): “I can see an improvement this year.

“He just looks, we all know his terrific assets, he will score goals, but if I was going to be slightly critical last year, I think sometimes he was a little bit rash in his finishing.

“He probably had a split second more to compose himself, and that seems to be improving this year, I think.”

Jackson is unlikely to play for Chelsea tonight in the Conference League, being a firm part of Enzo Maresca’s ‘A-Team’.
