One local media outlet are now claiming that a club are going to attempt a shock move to sign one Chelsea target in the summer.
Chelsea will be looking at their priorities for the next couple of transfer windows coming up, and I’d be very surprised if a new striker is not on the agenda yet again.
EXCLUSIVE! Chelsea pick main candidate for new full back transfer pursuit!
They failed to bring one in the last few transfer windows, which to me is a bit of neglect. Yes, Nicolas Jackson has been much better this season and is playing well and scoring goals. But his backup options are just not good enough. Well, Christopher Nkunku IS good enough, but for me is he a number 10 and not a striker. And Marc Guiu is just too raw for now to compete.
Chelsea need top players to compete in every position, and it showed last night that Chelsea don’t yet have that because Jackson had a poor game in the 1-1 draw against United, but he played the whole game because Enzo Maresca did not have a top quality striker on the bench to come on.
Chelsea could still move for Osimhen
Chelsea, who tried to sign Victor Osimhen from Napoli in the summer, could move again for him in one of the next two windows, although a January move has now been ruled out by the striker himself.
He is currently on loan with Galatasaray after a failed move to Chelsea in the summer, and according to local reports in Turkey, they are looking at a shock move to try and sign Osimhen in January!
Galatasaray are reportedly planning on making a £42million bid for Victor Osimhen in January as they look to make his loan deal from Napoli permanent.
Napoli are said to have agreed to a £63m release clause should a club from outside Serie A be interested.
However, according to Turkish outlet Sozcu, while Galatasaray are unable to meet that fee they will still look to make a bid from Osimhen once the January window opens.
The report claims that with the help of a sponsor Galatasaray are prepared to offer a club-record £42m, in a bid to beat out interest from the likes of Chelsea and PSG.
