After arriving in the summer, Neto has had to earn his place in manager Enzo Maresca’s plans. Jadon Sancho made the left wing his own, but a few slow games from the Englishman gave Neto a chance, and he performed well enough in the Conference League to earn Marecsa’s trust. He paid him back with a crucial equaliser against Arsenal last time out.

There’s never been a question about his ability as a dynamic player who can hurt teams if he’s given a bit of space. That’s all you need when you play for a team usually in mid-table like Wolves. The test now he’s at Chelsea is proving he’s got the subtlety and football brain to be a star at for a top team too.
His career has been an interesting build up to this moment – he’s earned his place at Chelsea, and now earned a starting role. It’s time to see if he can deliver.
