“Problem” – ESPN pundit says Chelsea player “doesn’t get around the field very well”

One ESPN pundit has claimed that a Chelsea player does not get around the pitch very well and that this is the biggest problem he has.

There’s been plenty of debates at Chelsea in the last couple of weeks based around the midfield and what the best midfield is at the club right now.

EXCLUSIVE! Premier League club make enquiry to sign Chelsea player that could lead to swap deal seeing striker going the other way!!

Enzo Maresca has a host of players to pick from in a big squad full of quality. So much so that he can now field two completely different starting lineups for the league and for the cup, with the league Xl being his best one.

Some players are dropping in and out of the starting Xl in league matches, but one player who has seemingly lost his starting place in league games is expensive signing Enzo Fernandez.

Fernandez has now become a starter in the Chelsea ‘B-Team’ under Maresca, losing his role to Romeo Lavia in the league games.

Maresca’s midfield three consists now of Moises Caicedo, Lavia, and Cole Palmer ahead of them in the ten role. The debates have been around what Maresca’s best midfield is and whether Fernandez should be in it or not.

ESPN pundit Steve Nicol has criticised Fernandez and has explained why he believes Maresca goes with Lavia and Caicedo instead of him.

Nicol has had his say on why Lavia is getting the nod ahead of Enzo. “Well, he complements Caicedo,” he told ESPN.

“You know the problem with Enzo. Enzo doesn’t get around the field very well, certainly not what you should at the top end of the Premier League, and that’s the biggest thing for me. With Caicedo, he’s now got somebody else who’s working with him, instead of trying to do it all on his own.”
