Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has been hinting at another name to Xavi Simons or Fermin Lopez as a Chelsea target this window.
Time is running out drastically now of course, but if Chelsea are to get a new attacking midfielder in this window, then they are going to have to work very fast now.

It looks like they are about to let Xavi Simons join Tottenham late on this window after they came in and worked fast to try and sign him yesterday. Romano has now reported an agreed fee between the two clubs there and it looks like that could soon be confirmed.
Chelsea fans will be fuming, but Spurs started coming in yesterday and the news grew bigger throughout the day and they advanced on Simons and Chelsea are yet to react. I guess they still could react, but it’s looking very unlikely now at this point.
So if Chelsea do not get Simons, who will they go for? Fermin Lopez from Barcelona perhaps? He has been linked as well this week and there’s been noise growing on that. But there could be a completely different name that they end up going for.
Romano hints at a different name
Fabrizio Romano had his latest YouTube video out yesterday, and he said:
“It’s not only Fermin Lopez or Xavi Simons. I think eventually if Simons doesn’t happen, Chelsea will have more options. The world is not ending at those two. But let’s see tomorrow on the Simons transfer. Spurs have gone big, but it’s time for Chelsea to decide.”
Too little too late?
If Chelsea are going to bid an match Spurs offer then they are going to have to do that first thing this morning because Spurs are about to agree terms with Simons and then it will all be too late.
Their is something wrong with this club , they keep Simon waiting and they don’t even do to sign him . I doubt Lopez too . Simon will give them strength in attacking system from central midfield but the club makes their rival get him and makes them stronger . I don’t see this club winning the EPL and UCL . No defender ( CBs ) not signing Simon or Lopez will haunt this club . Barcelona will put a tag price for Lopez that’s Chelsea FC will not pay it . I see the rivals way much better team than my fav club CFc . Bad management and negotiation , wasted time on Simon promised . I don’t see they will sign lopez . This club always blows things up .
Another panic stricken CFC supporter, stay calm and enjoy our club take control of the Premier league in the near future. There are reasons Simons hasn’t come to us. The directors are calmly doing the correct buisness behind the scenes. Not been too bad so far!
