Malo Gusto has been speaking on international duty, where he was asked about how he has coped with getting his chance in the Chelsea first team so soon after arriving.
He noted that “it came earlier than expected” thanks to the injury to Reece James, but that he’s felt ready from the start for a few reasons.
Firstly he praised the club, the staff and his fellow players for helping him feel so welcome so soon. Signing in January and having 4 months to mentally prepare before the actual move was probably useful too.
