Mauricio Pochettino was asked about how he was going to solve his side’s attacking issues, and his response was that “work” was the only way it would happen.
He added that “we have the squad we have,” in what is certainly not a compliment about the players he has at his disposal, and is something of a dig at those in charge of creating it.
His point is more that all he can do now is work with the players he has, and any solution to our attacking woes will have to come from within, but it is implicit in that that he’s been left short up front after a summer window which saw only Jackson arrive.
