Mauricio Pochettino was asked about last night’s win and what he made of it, and the Chelsea boss admitted he was hopeful it would build “trust” and “momentum” for the future, from today.
That is what we desperately need, the whole season so far has been a series of false starts, and we’ve not been able to string good performances together.
Last night wasn’t a great performance, but a win at Stamford Bridge got the crowd onside, and a few individual players made an important impact. Maybe, just maybe, this will be the one that sparks us into life.
